ANGEL VELASCO
Angel, born in Oaxaca has a pride in his Mixtec roots instilled into him by his parents. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca where he studied under the master printmaker Shinzaburo Takeda followed by study at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in the National School of Fine Arts (ENAP). Winning awards along the way, Angel concentrates on the strong printmaking tradition of Oaxaca as his medium of choice.
