Misty has long been an award-winning realist painter. During the Pandemic Misty passed the time in isolation creating mosaic pieces, beginning with her “sugar skull” series. Using materials and costume jewelry to create these “blinged-out” pieces, each piece has a specific theme. She has moved on to creating mosaics on ethically-sourced animal skulls, which she says allow the animals to live on as a work of art. Misty’s motto is “less is NOT more, more is MORE!”
